Arts Queensland Resources Update – issue 5 of 2015

Regional Arts Fund

The Regional Arts Fund is an Australian Government initiative that supports sustainable, community-based cultural development in regional, remote and isolated areas of Australia. Round 1 2015 of the Community Projects Grants closes on 16 March for projects commencing after 1 August 2015. It is anticipated that the majority of grants awarded in this category will be for short-term projects in the range of $10,000 to $15,000.

2015 Queensland Reconciliation Awards

Do you know a business, community organisation, educational institution, local council, partnership or project working towards reconciliation in Queensland? Nominate now in the 2015 Queensland Reconciliation Awards. There’s a total of $25,000 in prize money. Nominations close 6 March 2015.

Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade – Grants for projects with China, Japan, Korea

This year the annual grant rounds of the Australia-China Council (ACC), the Australia-Japan Foundation (AJF) and the Australia-Korea Foundation (AKF) will launch online on 27 February 2015. These Australian Government advisory and funding bodies are dedicated to strengthening the cultural, education, business, and more broadly, people-to-people relations between Australia and China, Japan and Korea respectively. In 2015-16, the ACC, AJF and AKF will deliver approximately $700,000 each in grants for organisations and individuals. The ACC, AJF and AKF invite interested organisations and individuals from all over Australia to apply online. For further information and to apply go to:

Australia Council grants

Australia Council 2015 grants programs – rounds close on 3 March, 2 June, 1 September and 1 December 2015 and potential applicants are encouraged to contact Australia Council to seek guidance on formulating your proposal. The funding categories are:

  • Development Grants for Individuals and Groups – $5,000 – $25,000
  • Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups – $10,000 – $50,000
  • Arts Projects – Organisations – $10,000 to $150,000
  • Six Year Funding – Organisations

The Artists with Disability Funding program is currently open closing 3 March 2015.
