Arts Queensland Resources Update – issue 4 of 2015

Artist in residence program
The Artist in Residence program (AIR) invests in creative collaborations between professional artists and Queensland schools and Queensland Government–approved kindergarten program providers.

AIR will foster creative partnerships between professional artists and the staff and/or students in recognised Queensland schools and Queensland Government–approved kindergartens. Proposals should be developed as a collaborative partnership. Applications must be made by the host school, kindergarten or Higher Education Institution; artists and arts organisations cannot apply to the program directly. Proposals can be made for investment funding of up to $20,000. The closing date for 2015 is 16 March 2015.

Creative Partnerships Australia (CPA) – MATCH program
Applications are now open for MATCH, the dollar-for-dollar matched funding program for Australian artists and artistic groups. The aim of MATCH is to help artists identify and secure private sector support, assist them in their artistic endeavours and build a sustainable arts practice. If your application is successful CPA will match any funding you raise through your project’s crowdfunding campaign, up to a total of $10,000 per project. CPA will support campaigns hosted through our Australian Cultural Fund or any other crowdfunding platform. The choice of platform is up to the applicant. Applications close 9 March 2015.

2015 Museums & Galleries Queensland Conference

The 2015 Museums & Galleries Queensland Conference will be held on 6 & 7 August 2015 at The Workshops Rail Museum, Ipswich. The Conference will explore participation, community engagement and ways of encouraging active involvement as our museums and galleries strive to be vibrant, accessible and essential places for communities and visitors alike. You are invited to contribute to a dynamic and stimulating conference program by submitting proposals for papers which address the focus of the conference and one of the conference themes. Proposals need to be submitted by 6 March 2015.
