Arts Queensland – Billy Thorpe Scholarship
Arts Queensland’s annual Billy Thorpe Scholarship provides a structured range of support to establish a professional career through career planning and advice and the opportunity to record with a local producer. The $10,000 Scholarship will be awarded to an emerging Queensland based contemporary musician or band. The Scholarship will:

Gambling Community Benefit Fund
The Gambling Community Benefit Fund distributes revenue from gaming taxes to various not-for-profit community groups throughout Queensland. Grants of up to $35,000 are available to not for profit organisations for projects which demonstrate the community benefit. The next round closes on 30 November 2014. Anywhere Theatre Festival
Expressions of interest are now open for the 2015 Anywhere Festivals in Brisbane, Frankston, Mackay-Isaac and Parramatta next year. Open to performers of any theatrical genre for performance anywhere but a theatre, Anywhere Festival is the first fringe festival that asks performers to apply just once to be based in four different cities throughout Australia. Performers of comedy, cabaret, drama, poetry, puppetry, music – any performance style – can submit a free expression of interest until 4 December 2014.
