Queensland Government’s Celebrating Multicultural Queensland grants program
Applications are now open for multicultural groups to apply for a share of $1 million under the Celebrating Multicultural Queensland grants program. The grants are available in the three categories, signature events with a maximum grant of $20,000 per event, cultural events with a maximum grant of $10,000 per event and multicultural projects with a maximum grant of $25,000 per project, which must be held within the 2016 calendar year. Applications close 14 September 2015.
Grant McLennan Fellowship
Applications are now open for the 2015 Grant McLennan Fellowship, jointly funded by the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland and by The Australasian Performing Right Association – Australasian Mechanical Copyright-Owners Society (APRA AMCOS). The fellowship will consist of an award of $25,000 to a Queensland based contemporary songwriter or songwriting duo. The recipient/s will undertake a trip of up to six months to either London, Berlin or New York. Applications close 31 August 2015.
Australia Council Scholarship
The Australia Council has partnered with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation to support established, high-performing regional arts leaders to participate in the Australian Rural Leadership Program (ARLP). ARLP is designed for individuals who will lead rural, regional and remote Australia into the future. An Australia Council Scholarship of $50,000 will support a high-performing and established regional arts leader to participate in the ARLP. One Australia Council Scholarship will be available for the ARLP intakes in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Applications close 31 August 2015.
Australia Council grants
The 2015 Australia Council grants programs have been revised. The final round for project and development funding for 2015 closes on 1 September and potential applicants are encouraged to contact Australia Council to seek guidance on formulating your proposal. The funding categories are:
Australia Council – Four-year funding organisations
Four-Year funding for organisations replaces the previously suspended six year funding program. Funding will be available for Australian organisations of regional, national and international standing to support annual programs of arts and cultural activities. Organisations must demonstrate artistic achievement and ambition with a compelling four year plan. To be competitive in the assessment process organisations will need to show that they are well governed, effectively managed, resilient and generate diversified income streams. Funding for successful organisations will commence in 2017. It is anticipated that organisations will be able to apply for between $75,000 and $300,000 per year. Applications close 1 December 2015.
