Arts Queensland – refreshed website

Arts Queensland has started the New Year with the launch of our new website www.arts.qld.gov.au and we invite you to visit the site and explore some of the new features we have introduced – including latest news and our new look blog.

We are continuing to seek ways to better connect and celebrate Queensland’s rich and dynamic arts and cultural sector through all our communication channels, and will keep you informed of any updates.

Arts Queensland – Organisations Fund (2017-2020) Expressions of interest (EOI) now open

The Organisations Fund provides multi-year funding to contribute to the core operations of small to medium organisations in delivering arts and cultural activities that generate public value to Queensland.

There have been a few key changes to the Organisations Fund 2017-2020 these include:

a three year funding cycle has been replaced with a longer four-year cycle (2017-2020) which aligns with the Australia Council’s Four-Year Funding for Organisations
the application process involves two stages; an Expression of Interest (EOI), and if successful, applicants will be invited to submit a full application
for the first time the Organisations Fund will incorporate the application and assessment process for visual arts organisations seeking multi-year funding through the Visual Arts and Crafts Strategy.

EOI’s are now open for the Organisations Fund 2017 – 2020, and will close at 2pm, 11 March 2016.

Arts Queensland, through our Arts Acumen initiative, has a range of tools and templates available to support funding applications.

The Copyright Agency – Career Fund

The Career Fund supports individuals working in the publishing and visual art sectors to develop specific skills and progress their careers. Individual grants of up to $5,000 are offered to successful applicants. Opportunities typically supported include mentorships, residencies, workshops, courses, conferences and specific training in technical areas. Applications close 3 March 2016.

Ministry of the Arts - Catalyst

Catalyst is the Australian Government's new funding program for the arts. It will invest $12 million each year in innovative projects and initiatives from arts and cultural organisations. Projects by, or that involve, small to medium organisations will be given priority. The fund may also support some gallery, library, archive, museum, arts education and infrastructure projects. Applications can be made at any time.

Australia Council for the Arts – grants and residencies

The next round of Development Grants for Individuals and Groups, Arts Projects for Individuals and Groups and Arts Projects for Organisations close 2 February 2016.

Expressions of Interest are also closing soon (27 January 2016) for international residencies in New York

Contemporary Music Touring Program

The Contemporary Music Touring Program supports national touring activity undertaken by Australian musicians performing original contemporary music. It provides travel support of up to $15,000 for artists and their manager for tours in Australia that include performances in regional and remote areas. Applications for the next round close 2 February 2016 for projects starting after 1 May 2016.
