Individuals Fund

The Individuals Fund is now open and closing on 15 September 2014 for individual artists and cultural workers (emerging and established) to participate in transformational professional and career development opportunities. Applications for up to $10,000 can now be made online https://www.qld.gov.au/recreation/arts/funding/individuals/fund/

Grant McLennan Fellowship

Established in 2007 in honour of the late Queensland singer-songwriter Grant McLennan, the $25,000 Grant McLennan Fellowship offers the recipient an opportunity to travel to New York, London or Berlin for up to 6 months and use the experience of being immersed in a foreign and vibrant musical culture to further develop their own artistic skills. Applications are currently open and closing on 22 August 2014. 

Australian Charity and Not for Profit Commission (ACNC) workshops

The ACNC will soon be travelling around Australia, hosting “Ask ACNC” sessions to provide the sector with information about the ACNC and their charity obligations. Workshops will be held in Cairns on 11 August, Mooloolaba on 13 August, Brisbane 14 August and Gold Coast on 15 August. 

Australia Council – Regional Audience Engagement Program

This program is open to presenting organisations: performing arts centres, museums and galleries. The focus is on the public programming of the venue/gallery/exhibition space for regional or remote audiences. The successful presenters will seek to, and be inspired by, new and supported strategies to enhance connections with their existing and new audiences.  The Australia Council has secured consultant Lisa Baxter, the Founder and Director of The Experience Business, to work with each organisation, in their communities, one-on-one. Expressions of Interest are due 18 August 2014. 

Australia Council – Call for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peer Assessors

Australia Council is seeking self-nominations from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and arts workers to serve as peer assessors. Expressions of interest should be made by 8 August 2014. For further information go to: http://www.australiacouncil.gov.au/about/register-of-peers
