Arts Queensland – Queensland Arts Showcase Program

The Queensland Arts Showcase Program was announced in the 2015-16 State Budget and will start from 1 September 2015. This new program will be rolled out through three streams: Arts Ignite, Arts Illuminate and Arts Impact. The program aims to provide a vibrant and accessible arts and cultural sector in Queensland that connects with and develops new audiences. It also focuses on creating employment and training opportunities for Queensland based artists and arts workers while supporting collaborations to provide quality arts and cultural experiences. The draft guidelines for the Program are now available for public comment for a four week period.   

Creative Partnerships Australia – Plus1

Applications are now open for Plus1 2015-16, Creative Partnerships Australia matched funding program for the arts sector. Through Plus1, arts organisations receive matched funding for fundraising campaigns that support a project or activity of their choice. Recipients will share in more than $1.2 million in dollar-for-dollar matched funding, capped at $50,000 per project, and have around eight months to run their campaigns. Applications close 28 August 2015.

Tax Tips for Arts Organisations

Creative Partnerships Australia, The Australian Tax Office and Arts Law Centre of Australia are teaming up to present a free two-hour workshop to cover the essential of fundraising tax law. The Brisbane workshop will be held 18 August 2015 at QAGOMA. Bookings are essential.

Apply for a CreativeBursary

In order to nurture the next generation of creative practitioners and creative enterprises, Creative³ offers ticket bursaries to attend Creative³ each year. Emerging entrepreneurs and creative startups can now apply for a Creative³ bursary to receive a ticket to attend Creative³ Forum and evening networking function. Arts Queensland is funding 10 Bursaries. Application close 31 July 2015.  

Australian Government – Regional Arts Fund

Applications for Round 2 of the Regional Arts Fund (RAF) closes on 17 August 2015.  Assistance available for this program will be from a minimum of $5,000 up to a maximum of $30,000. Artslink Queensland manage RAF in Queensland. Applications will be accepted from individuals, groups and incorporated, not-for-profit organisations that are regionally-based in Queensland.
