One of the priorities of the Arts for all Queenslanders strategy is to strengthen the commercial and entrepreneurial capacity of the arts and cultural sector in Queensland. With this in mind Arts Queensland has developed a suite of skills development resources that you can access and benefit from in everything from business planning to applying for grants.
We’re calling this Arts Acumen – resources for the arts sector.
Arts Acumen will provide resources, networks and support for skills development through workshops, mentoring, connector events and online tools. Arts Queensland recently talked with a range of experienced arts leaders and asked them to reflect on what has worked for them and the organisations they lead. We’re producing a range of short video blogs featuring these arts leaders to help arts organisations find ways to participate more actively in the national arts and cultural sector, build networks and partnerships and articulate a compelling artistic vision for their organisation.
We’d love to hear your feedback on whether you find these videos helpful and what other areas we should be looking into with Arts Acumen.
The first of our video blogs comes from Noel Staunton from Brisbane Festival.
