Leadership and Disability Forums

Specialising in the development of diversity and access, Jo Verrent will be speaking in Brisbane. Jo is a UK artist, consultant and producer with disability who is the cofounder of Sync, a training program that focuses on the interplay between leadership and disability that provides a fresh perspective and challenges deep seated thinking about leadership. Australia Council information sessions Brisbane

The Emerging and Experimental Arts section of the Australia Council invites you to an information session to learn more about the 2014 funding programs.

Information will include:

  • inaugural Australia Council Fellowship for Emerging and Experimental Arts
  • Creative Australia – New Art (Creative Development) initiative for ambitious and innovative new works
  • Experimental Art Grants for projects at all scales and stages of development.

Australia Council will also give tips on how to submit a more competitive application, explain how the assessment process works and how you can get involved as a peer assessor. This information session is open to all artists, practitioners and managers working in experimental arts. June 26, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Cube QUT Gardens Point.

One-on-one sessions are also available with Pip Wittenoom, Program Manager of Emerging and Experimental Arts Australia Council on Friday 27 June2014 between 9 am and 5 pm. 

Australian Evaluation Society: Application of Geographic Information Systems and mapping to evaluation

AES free lunchtime seminar on data visualisation methods which are receiving increasing attention in evaluation. Mapping data using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) is one such method that has potential to increase communication and engagement of evaluation stakeholders through bringing meaning and relevance to evaluation data. Tim Fairfax Family Foundation

The Tim Fairfax Family Foundation (TFFF) supports Australian charitable organisations and initiatives aimed at addressing the particular needs of communities in rural, remote and regional areas within Queensland and the Northern Territory in the areas of the arts, education and community. Applications can be made at any time.
