Arts Queensland Resource Update - Issue 19

Australia Council  – Artstart

Applications are now open for 2015, offering up to $10,000 to individual artists who have completed an accredited creative arts course (Certificate IV or higher) in the past three years and are carving out a career in any of the Australia Council supported artforms. 

Arts Queensland bursaries for creatives to attend Creative Enterprise Australia’s Creative3

Arts Queensland is supporting bursaries for creatives to attend Creative Enterprise Australia’s Creative3 Forum 18-19 September 2014 in Brisbane with applications closing on 4 August 2014. Creative3 Forum is a full two-day experience encompassing a series of dynamic presentations from the world’s leading creative game changers and entrepreneurs that offer real-world insight into the mechanics of creativity, enterprise and investment. With a blend of interactive sessions, keynote speakers, hands-on workshops, networking events and evening festivities, Creative3 is designed to spark collaboration and inspire individuals to execute their ideas. 

Regional Arts Fund (RAF) – Community Grants

Applications for Round Two of the Community Projects Grants are now open, closing on 18 August 2014. Funding is available for projects commencing after 1 February 2015. RAF assistance available for this category will be from a minimum of $5,000 up to a maximum of $30,000.  

AMP’s Tomorrow Fund

AMP’s Tomorrow Fund wants to remove the barrier by providing grants of between $10,000 and $100,000 to help Tomorrow Makers – Australians of all ages, from all walks of life who want to make their mark on the world, with costs such as travel, living expenses and research – or whatever it takes to achieve their dream. If you, or someone you know, have what it takes to be a Tomorrow Maker apply by 31 August 2014.

Cultural Diversity Action Plan

The Queensland Government’s Cultural Diversity Action Plan has just been released, as well as the revised Language Services Policy and guidelines. These form part of the Queensland Cultural Diversity Policy which was launched last December.
